My auntie had a heart so big it embraced everyone around her. She was the kind of person who gave without thinking twice—always putting others before herself. When she and my mom were little, she worked extra hard just so my grandmother (their mom) wouldn’t send her little sister away to become a seamstress. She wanted to protect sister, even when she was just a child herself.
I still smile thinking about the story of how, when her little sister (my mom) got her pants wet playing in the water and started to cry, my auntie didn’t scold her—she simply swapped pants with her so she’d stop crying. That was who she was: selfless, gentle, and full of love.
Thank you, Auntie, for showing us what love truly means. May you rest in peace knowing that the beautiful family you left behind is safe, loved, and forever grateful for you. 💖
